BROADSHEET COFFEE ROASTERS
100 Kirkland st. cambridge ma 02138
Within blocks of Har, Har with a V, Var, Var with a D (Harvard) stands a coffee shop that crushes its stated goal of sharing their love of coffee with the community. The shops is light filled, well layed out and serves some excellent roasts.
Coffee:
The El Navado roast with its medium body and hints of molasses and raisin coupled with the Paraiso espresso made for a fantastic red eye. Lots of care being taken behind the La Marzocco machine and it was evident in the flavor profiles. Others in our group loved the latte as well as the drip. We also loved their descriptive menu and the “what’s brewing”.
Barista:
Talented baristas that were willing to answer questions but not inviting dialogue along the way.
Vibe:
A beautiful light filled space that sits on a corner with ample seating brought a smile. There is a back room table that is also tucked away for a bigger group. Love the variety of seating (bar, small tables). In the warmer months, there are outside tables as well. The music was well curated with a kind of Fleet Foxes vibe at a good volume where you notice it but are not overwhelmed by it. We also loved the thoughtful pastry selections from sweet to savory.
There seems to be a cool Cambridge community ethos. Broadsheet clearly cares about the coffee process from its selection of farmers to its roasting to its serving to the public and we are grateful.
Make You Better
Maybe a little nit picky, but it’s always nice to be greeted as you come into a shop.
