Vibe:

The shop is small with four-five tables, a small counter and a minimalist approach that has nice light and warm woods and a painted over tin ceiling. Not sure this is a linger friendly place, but there is an esthetic to its simplicity that is alluring. There is an intentionality to this simplicity even in the production of their coffee bean bags. The breakfast items are well thought out with savories and sweets. This is a neighborhood that you want to visit when in Ottawa. A mix of eclectic shops, restaurants and boutiques that lead to a good meander. There is a great breakfast place right down the street (Wild Oats) that was quite tasty with great smoothies. We carried our Little Victories in and there was a nod of acceptance by our server. Ottawa is a wonderful “outdoorsy” town with an incredible bike culture, fantastic architecture and a true capital city feel. The second location on Elgin Street provides a nice yin to the yang as it is right downtown in a beautiful space (and much larger) with a different energy.
